Classworks Users Are Saying
"For years I struggled to find innovative ways to meet each student's needs. Classworks is an answer to my prayers! I feel that it has a positive impact on my classroom, my students' enthusiasm for learning, and my ability to individualize instruction. There has never been a program in my 22 years of experience as motivational and easy to use as this one."

Activity of the Week
Your Lucky Stars
Activity Name: Using Cause and Effect
Unit Name: Understanding Cause and Effect
Grade Level: 4
In this fourth-grade language arts activity students practice cause and effect reading skills. A lively introduction captures ones attention from the start in an engaging, yet instructional, lesson.
Right from the studios of the Your Lucky Stars game show, host Mike Ro Chip introduces four contestants. These players are given questions along with four answer cards. Your students will be able to provide the contestants with each answer.
Several key features of this lesson will assist in the development of cause and effect skills. Not only will students need to show understanding of their reading, but also they will analyze text to recognize what the cause and effect relationships are for each passage. The ongoing and immediate feedback will be a helpful and import feature in recognizing these connections.
Try your students skills. Can they become a Lucky Star?
