Classworks Users Are Saying
"For years I struggled to find innovative ways to meet each student's needs. Classworks is an answer to my prayers! I feel that it has a positive impact on my classroom, my students' enthusiasm for learning, and my ability to individualize instruction. There has never been a program in my 22 years of experience as motivational and easy to use as this one."

Activity of the Week
Similar Figures
Activity Name: Similar Triangles
Unit Name: Triangle Similarity
Grade Level: HS
This newly released high-school level activity teaches and practices triangle similarity. See if this one will make you think.
Essential skills related to this topic are taught in the tutorial or 'Study' section. Three basic postulates are covered, the Angle-Angle Similarity Postulate, the Side-Angle-Side Similarity Theorem, and the Side-Side-Side Similarity Theorem.
Excel Math activities are divided between study and practice sections. The study portion has a tutorial, and the practice section is the questions. A student can go back and forth between the study and practice sections. If they need to read the instructional concepts again they can at any time. In the practice portion students answer questions where their progress is scored and bookmarked. They cannot go back and re-do items they have already completed.
Higher-order thinking in this activity requires recognizing relationships of similarity between different figures and then analyzing and determining solutions from those relationships. This one will give your mind at least a little exercise.
