Performance-Based Projects
21st century education is rigorous, creative, challenging, and complex. Classworks curriculum includes both skill-level instruction and performance-based projects. Projects are robust and relevant to the real world, offering opportunities for students to utilize collaboration, creativity, and problem solving.
Classworks performance-based projects are specifically designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate high levels of cognitive thinking. As students relate real-world scenarios to skills learned, they use critical thinking and multimedia tools to demonstrate mastery. The student experience involves using a common application, such as spreadsheet or presentation software, to solve a problem or create a presentation that demonstrates their knowledge of the unit skill.
Classworks also features 21st century performance rubrics for grades K–10. Classworks rubrics measure other key metrics in addition to concept mastery – including proficiency using technology strategically and capably, and the ability to reason abstractly and quantitatively.
