Classworks Users Are Saying

"Classworks provides our district with the data to drive instruction for students in every sub group. Regardless of how mobile these student populations are, Classworks instruction and assessment data accompanies them as they move from school to school. It is for these reasons, as well as the professional and highly qualified staff, that I would recommend Classworks to other superintendents across the nation."

2010-2011: Mt. Holly Middle School, NC
Grade Level: Middle
Subject: Reading and Math

The Challenge: To move from a School of Progress to a School of Distinction, Mt. Holly Middle School needed a way to address the individual needs of strugllling learners. Specifically, they wanted to help them reach the proficient level, Level III, on the North Carollina End-of-Grade (EOG) Tests in reading and math.

2010-2011: Blaschke-Sheldon Elementary School, Ingleside ISD, TX

Grade Level: Elementary
Subject: Reading

The Challenge: Blaschke Sheldon Elementary is a fifth- and sixth-grade campus serving Ingleside, a suburb of Corpus Christi, Texas. The school wanted to accelerate student growth, especially for its lowest performing populations. Blaschke Sheldon faced challenges in providing individualized instruction, by strand, for students with disabilities, students with limited English proficiency, and economically disadvantaged students.

2010-2011: Cleveland County Schools, NC

Grade Level: Elementary
Subject: Science

The ChallengeSituated along the I-85 corridor between Greenville, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina, Cleveland County Schools enrolls 16,000 students; 59% receive free and reduced lunch. To improve student performance in science, the district set out to find a new way to engage students, address difficult concepts, and support academic growth.

2010-2011: Dacusville Middle School, Pickens County Schools, SC

Grade Level: Middle
Subject: Math

The Challenge: Dacusville Middle School’s mission is to meet “the unique needs of the students by providing a quality, technology-rich education that promotes academic achievement and success using appropriate technology resources and software support for instruction.” Dacusville needed to find effective technology-based math instruction to help struggling “bubble” students prepare for the South Carolina Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS).

2010-2011: Mitchell County Schools, GA

Grade Level: K-10
Subject: Math, Reading, and Language Arts

The ChallengeIn Mitchell County Schools, 92% of students receive free and reduced lunch. All four schools are Title I schools. To make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), each school and student group must meet Georgia’s Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs) regarding the percentage of students scoring proficient or advanced on state assessments. The district needed a solution to help all students achieve growth and meet rising AMOs.

2010-2011: Spartanburg School District 7, SC

Grade Level: K-12
Subject: Math, Reading, and Language Arts

The Challenge: Nestled among rolling foothills at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Spartanburg School District 7 enrolls more than 7,200 students; 70% receive free/reduced lunch. The large district regularly administers the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) to measure each student’s academic achievement. It also provided teachers with DesCartes learning statements, which translated each student’s MAP scores to skills and concepts in the South Carolina state standards. However, in a class of 25 students, teachers found it difficult to juggle 25 different learning statements to try to identify how to address students’ needs and close learning gaps.
