Like many of today’s teachers, Shari Miller was faced with the challenge of offering individualized instruction to each student in her kindergarten class. “With 33 students, how would I ever be able to give each student an individual lesson designed to address their specific weaknesses?”
When Golden West Elementary School, located in Manteca, CA, implemented Classworks, Shari was amazed at how easily she could adjust her students’ assignments to fit their unique learning styles. “Classworks does it all for you and makes it easy to monitor student progress, choose standard-based curriculum, and obtain data – it’s wonderful!” says Shari. Now if a student is struggling to grasp a concept, Shari can quickly adjust their instruction. The program has boosted her students’ self-esteem; they are always excited to play the activities and share their successes. Shari is proud to be giving her students the foundation they need as they move on to higher grade levels.
Classworks helped Shari solve her “What now?” dilemma and spend more one-on-one time with her class. Shari’s hero moment came when her students began making great gains, as they happily work in Classworks.
