Classworks From Curriculum Advantage Named CODIE Awards Finalist In Two Categories

DULUTH, GA - Mar 10, 2009 - Curriculum Advantage™ Inc. today announces that its flagship product, Classworks™, has been named a 2009 CODiE Awards finalist in two categories. Classworks comprehensive K-12 instructional software is a finalist for “Best Reading/English Instructional Solution” and “Best Science Instructional Solution.” Established in 1986 by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and education technology industries.

Classworks delivers individualized instruction in math, reading, language arts and elementary science to accelerate learning for mainstream students, bring at-risk students to grade level proficiency, and help English learners build fluency. It is the only solution that automatically creates individualized learning paths based on each student’s high stakes test results. Classworks includes 15,000 instructional activities drawn from 265 top software titles, assessment, and reporting to engage students and increase performance.

“Classworks is continually expanding and evolving to bring K-12 educators a robust, flexible solution that meets students’ diverse academic needs across an entire school district — or a single classroom,” said Melissa Sinunu, chief operations officer for Curriculum Advantage. “From mainstream instruction to Response to Intervention (RtI) to dropout prevention programs, Classworks comprehensive K-12 content delivers individualized instruction, feedback and support to strengthen each student’s knowledge and skills, and impact high stakes test results.”

The 2009 CODiE Award finalists were chosen from more than 850 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies. For a list of finalists, visit http://www.siia.net/codies/2009/finalist_list.asp. Award winners will be announced May at the 24th Annual CODiE Awards gala in San Francisco, Calif.

In 2006, Classworks won the CODiE Award for “Best Instructional Solution: Language Arts/Reading – Elementary,” and Curriculum Advantage won the “Education Newcomer of the Year Award.”
